Go into birth balanced, supported, and prepared
Comprehensive doula support and birth prep in Salt Lake County, Utah
Supporting your body’s natural physiology alongside modern medical care
Walk into birth prepared—not scared.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by extreme messages—“all natural” vs. “fully medical,” rigid plans vs. fear-based decisions—you’re not alone.
This is whole-person doula support—not just physical support in labor, but intentional preparation for your mind, body, and nervous system.
You deserve balanced, evidence-based care that honors your values, your body, and your experience.
I offer doula support in Salt Lake County and surrounding Utah communities, combining full-body birth preparation with calm, flexible, in-person support—so you can move through pregnancy, labor, and postpartum feeling grounded, informed, and confident.

About Birthing Brave
Hi, I’m Sarah, Full Spectrum Doula and owner of Birthing Brave!
Medical support—for safety and for comfort—can coexist with your body’s natural rhythm for birth. You don’t have to choose between the two. I specialize in bridging that gap, supporting both your physiology and your preferences for medical care.
We start in pregnancy by preparing your whole body and mind—your mindset, movement, nutrition, and the fears that may be quietly shaping your expectations.
During your birth, you’ll have steady, informed support that protects your autonomy, encourages movement, and helps create an environment where your body can work—regardless of your mode of delivery or pain management choices.
My goal isn’t for you to achieve a specific type of birth.
It’s that you walk away feeling supported, respected, and confident that you made the best decisions for you and your baby.
Don't Just Take My Word for it!
Here’s What My Previous Clients Have to Say About Their Experiences.
“Having Sarah as my doula has been the BEST decision I had EVER made!
Even though I was pregnant with my 3rd child, I had some fears and concerns that I didn’t want to happen again and she helped me get through the whole process! We talked about ways what we could do differently this round and how to overcome those fears!
She is very informative, knowledgeable, helpful and is very passionate about what she does! I never had a birthing experience quite like this before!
Because of Sarah, I was able to have the BEST, smooth and most positive experience I’ve ever had (before, during and after) giving birth!
If I decide to have more kids down the road, Sarah is my go-to girl! I would hire her again in a heartbeat! Thank you for everything Sarah! 💕”

“On my second birth but learned so much. Sarah was really great at pointing me in the right direction for information and giving me points to think about, nutrition to take and excises to do to make birth easier. So happy to have worked with Sarah! Would highly recommend!”

Honestly, probably! I personally do not serve families who choose a wild pregnancy/freebirth (no medical interventions or personel at the birth). Beyond that, I have experience with induction, epidural, unmedicated, and waterbirth. If you are planning a C-Section let me know and I will adjust my services to best fit your needs.a

Yes! While I am not specifically trained in neurodivergence, I tend to get along well with people on the neurodivergent spectrum. If you have any specific sensory or communication needs, please let me know!

Yes!!! My bachelors degree is in Family Studies: Family Services so I have a good understanding of how trauma affects the body and mind, as well as having my own trauma background. I am a big advocate of perinatal mental health, and give each of my clients a packet of perinatal resources. I always ask for consent before touch.
